Coronavirus & Our Office
We take the health, wellness, and safety of our patients, and employees, very seriously. In the face of the recent Coronavirus outbreak, we continue, as we always have, to follow OSHA guidelines for optimal sterilization of instruments, equipment and work surfaces of our operatories and reception area. These are collectively known as Universal Precautions. As we continue to monitor the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are keeping an eye on official information and guidelines published by the Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, the New York State Department of Health, local Departments of Health, and the American Dental Association.
While we have always had hand sanitizer at the front desk, and in each operatory, and hand soap in the operatories that all have been free to use, we are taking extra care to ensure that our staff and patients stay healthy. You should know that any staff member displaying symptoms suggestive of Coronavirus will be immediately sent home and will remain there until their symptoms have resolved. Likewise, if you are displaying symptoms of this illness, please stay home and wait until you are symptom-free before coming in for your consultation or scheduled visit.
We advise you follow the CDC’s recommendations regarding the prevention and spread of the virus in your daily life as well. Along those lines, please understand that if we don’t shake your hand as usual, it’s not because we don’t care about you; it’s because we do! We will work hard to make sure that the current concerns do not detract from the high level of care we pride ourselves in delivering to you, to your family, and to your friends.
